*ahem* The current logo does have a concept: The circle with an arrow  
symbolizes the all-encompassing, open nature of OpenID with respect  
to identity. The secondary concept is that it forms, together with  
the capital I a lowercase d glyph.

The typography could use a refresh: The kerning is a bit tight, and  
it’d look better in Helvetica Neue.
