Just my two cents: as current logo, as proposed ones suffer from the same issue: they have no concept behind them, just playing with letters and alignment, it's a bad style IMO.

GNOME's and Firefox's logos are great because they carry symbol which is recognizable instead of initial letters (imagine gnome logo as letter G, and firefox's as letter F - not that cool, isn't it?)

So, I purpose is to calm down and think about symbol for OpenID.

Another great examples of symbols are: livejournal.com, msn.com, lambda-the-ultimate.org, del.icio.us, ...
