The Layout looks very clean already. Kudos!
I love the light grey/blue tone in contrast to the orange.
I also like the bolder font weight on "OpenID" I think it looks even
more
welcoming and serious than the openid.net logo and colorscheme.
One of the things that catched my eye was the phrasing "press area" i
would
just name it "press". That would keep the rythm of the other one
worded page namings
and is quite conventional i guess. What do you think?
For the headlines of the front page i guess it would look better if
they are not
colored the same way as the navigation links as they look very similar.
what about the same grey tone as in the about page for example but
underlined
to indicate that the headlines are hyperlinked?
Some sort of welcome or about area that is visible on either the
mainpage
or probably even on every page could also be nice to provide a starting
point for people new to OpenID. I could imagine an introductionary
text which is
horizontally placed on between the navigation and the regular news
items smiliar
to the 3 icons+paragrpahs from the openid.net website just without
icons.
Overall i think the layout already looks pretty decent and has many
benefits over
the current version because of clean urls and i guess it also will be
easier to maintain.
My ideas up there are of course subjective and only suggestions.
nice weekend everyone,
Thomas
