[Openid-digital-directives] DADE CG Member review of the Cybersecurity Awareness Month white paper

DADE CG members,

As you’re aware, we have been working on the development of a white paper
and  titled *“The State of Digital Estate Management”* for release during
Cybersecurity Awareness Month this October.

​

The paper explores the current state of digital estate planning and
management, focusing on end-user consent, delegated access, and the role of
standards in enabling individuals to control their digital assets during
incapacity or after death. It’s aimed at policymakers, standards
developers, and leaders at consumer-facing organizations.

​

We want to provide early access to the draft paper for DADE CG members with
a signed participation agreement (PA).  During this time, DADE CG members
can provide feedback as the authors, Heather Flanagan, Mike Kiser, and
myself, finalize the first public draft.

​

If you have signed the PA​ and wish to review and provide early feedback on
the draft paper, please reach out to me (dean at thesax.es) and I will share a
link to the draft Google doc.

​

Broad public access will launch on August 25, 2025 for a public comment
period before the white paper is finalized.
