Agreed. Should have said "more" vendor neutral. The tradeoff is between
neutrality and ease of use. We've gotten plenty of feedback that typing
in a url isn't terribly intuitive to non technical users. <br>

Well, Firefox remembers my previously type URI and
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://code.google.com/p/idib/wiki/Beacon">http://code.google.com/p/idib/wiki/Beacon</a> works not bad as well. ID
selector doesn't select and submit the URI for me. Actually after using
it for I while I couldn't find the benefit for me personally. It might
for those which aren't using OpenID commonly and/or are confronted with
it the first time.<br>
