1. There are a lot of "should"s in there, which makes me think "if not, what then?" Can that be written without them?

2. Can we rephrase the first paragraph as follows:

            Who stands for election?
            For this election, all seven community board seats are open for election. The current community directors are the founding directors of the foundation who self-selected and were not elected. The corporate directors are appointed by the community directors, and are not open for election.

3. This document should contain the timeline for the election (don't forget a time zone)

A draft documenting the procedures we agreed to and handling corner cases such as ties is enclosed.  It also includes the language about a nominating committee that was previously circulated and generated no opposition (and which is inoperative in this election because we selected no nominating committee).
