[OpenID board] Year-end financials

Our financial year end is March 31. Currently we have minimal
resources to work on pulling together official financial statements.
One of the initial decisions of the new board will be what we do for
ED resources while we are recruiting and ED.

What I will have available for the new board will be a state of the
financial affairs of the company so that the board does understand of
where the Foundation stands financially. It is really not that
different then it was in my last report less expected expenses. We
have the same financial challenges.

As for using Wesabe or something like that -- my preference would be
to let the ED decide how best to operate the Foundation in a manner
that minimizes overhead and provides the appropriate amount of
transparency and information accessibility.

I am a big believer that if you want someone to be responsible for
something, you need to give them the authority to make the decisions
about it.

Johannes: you continually harp on financial aspects of the Foundation
-- and you are a lone voice amongst board members. Besides the fact
that you did not receive your make-work-project financials, have I
failed or been incompetent in the role as Treasurer?

Chris / Nat: if you are elected to the board, then you will have more
insight, which is of course is one of the roles of the board.
