Thanks for the prodding on this Snorri ... As the hiring and board
chair I should have given an update a few weeks ago. My apologies.

The recruitment process is far from frozen and not currently tied to
the election process.
After the interviews at IIW we got down to one very strong candidate
who declined our offer the week of 11/17. With the holidays upon us
and elections underway the board is putting together short and
long-term plans to make forward progress on current momentum and get a
full-time ED in place. The executive committee is meeting on Thursday
to discuss our options as we all want to see action *right now* that
only a full-time ED can deliver but we also want to make sure we get
the best person for the full-time job.
I'll make sure to give an update on Friday after the executive
committee meets to discuss.

I think I echo the entire boards' sentiments that the ED hire will be
one of the most important things this board does as it will have a
significant impact on the operation of the OIDF and what we can
accomplish in the coming months. That said, just as important as the
ED is, every single member is equally important in helping drive
initiatives within the OIDF.
