Hi all,

I am working in healthcare, in the Netherlands. I was reading your last mail list, just subscribed. I would like to give input to build you case and problem statement.

In my opinion the reason why medical information will be shared is to assist with monitoring, fast knowledge to assist when health appears to be changing, etc.
Access will mostly be given to informal care givers who are "caring" for friends or relatives with a chronicall illness. Care for chronicall illness is due to raising expenses in healthcare, aging society and insufficient financial resources, these days more depending on involvement by several informal caregivers.

Sharing this kind of data with your husband with online access instead of privately when both are home doesn't seem realistic to me. Because abuse with this kind of sensitive information is a realistic option. Think of insurance companies, banks, but also people pretending to be a medical and abuse of through and with this kind of information.

I know the intention will be to terminate unauthorized access but other experts will be trying to by pass developed security because there is so much to gain with this kind of information. Even knowledge of raising blood pressure, witch seems very innocent, will have a negative effect on insurance possibilities, future deployment etc. simply because there is a bigger chance of hart failure etc.

People who don't care will publish this kind of information without the solution you are developing. I think there is much need for this solution when assisting in care fore loved ones, I hope you will consider this direction for your case and problem statement. In my experience there is a need for a developing assisting in care for the needing. (Maybe include volunteer schedules, short administration possibility of bought (food)supplies, activities done and mental state to monitor wellbeing.

Kind regards,

Eva Bouwman
Ps not intending to offense or point out things you already explored, if that's the case my apologies. Just trying to supply input.
