[Openid-specs-fapi] External : Response to OBE/PRETA JWS HTTP Signing Profile

As this is a profile of an ETSI spec i doubt getting any movement on requiring a certificate and associated structures will be possible.

I raised this in the last meeting that the obie supports keys as well as certs and the “it’s an ETSI / eidas” spec was the reason that my request was rejected.

Dave,

Given the experience with OBIE and learnings from that my only comment is on mandating the b64 header to be set to false.

We know that at least in the last year, library support for that has been spotty and I am not very clear if it serves a purpose to turn this off.

Beyond the comment on having a method that is not reliant on PSD2 structures, we could also suggest that there are no hard dependencies on EIDAS or the use of certificates (rather than just a key pair)
Regards,

Freddi

Dear WG

I've updated a draft response to OBE/Preta based on their proposed http signing profile: https://docs.google.com/document/d/15BkSi66HulDoMvrD0M4MQBjxiM8QjiWDm87_OyVjK9s/edit?usp=sharing

Thanks to Francis for the valuable input.

I'd appreciate any reviews.

Thank you
