I much prefer “Financial-grade API” to “Financial-grade API Protection Interoperable”. The latter is convoluted and artificial, whereas the former is simpler and natural.

I really like Financial-grade API. It acknowledges the original use
case, keeps the acronym (which will prevent breaking spec changes,
since the acronym appears in data structures), and makes it clear that
it is applicable beyond just the financial sector.

I have concerns. The reason for this group was to address the legal
and security requirements of a particular sector in efforts to get a
global standard based on Connect.
A mark of success is universal applicability, but a loss of focus
