[OpenID] Voting confidentiality

Fair enough, Chris.

Folks!

If you were a nominee of the final ~5 and you see this, please indicate the candidate's blogsite URL for him/her. Or, point to *any* site the individual is closely associated with, that shows the person is actually practicing reliance on openids from any OP, per the UCI doctrine.

If you are a reader and have any means to contact of the final ~5 and you see this, please encourage the candidate to post his/her blogsite URL. Or, perhaps have a nominee with elementary web skills do it for him/her or just make one for him/her (the John McCain type computer-unware candidate, presumably).

Once I have a little more of the list, I'll then report on what limits the folks are actually placing on their acceptance of https OpenIDs. This may be quite telling about their wider affiliations, who they see themselves as associating with beyond the pure openid community, who they find themselves unable to associate with, who they see as suitable for advising on the assurance topics associated with https openid, etc.

Voters can then evaluate the candidate based on issue positions, their associations and their chosen non-associations ( in some cases),and whose counsel they use (particular on the very difficult topic of relying on https OpenIDs).

In many cases, Ill guess that the candidate may well be unaware they are making implied statement of association or policy (given the complex nature of the https OpenID). This lack of experience in the area of assurance and governance may well be telling about the candidate's likely counsel to the Board on the topic. It may also inform about the person's strong opinions on the topic, as reflected in what they can be seen to actually accept ... when making personal acts of https OpenID reliance.

10 more days of this...

Just to put this request in perspective, not all the candidates are active contributors to this mailing list; indeed it seems that some of the candidates actually spend more time OFF of mailing lists than they do on -- so finding another means of gauging the candidates' commitment to OpenID besides a query on this list might be appropriate -- just to make sure that we don't end up summarily arriving at a judgment when those in question simply weren't aware that they were being judged.
