[OpenID] Dumb Question: Why isn't http://xri.net/=bobwyman an OpenID?

It is because the xri.net does not speak yadis or openid discovery. 
There is neither an X-XRDS-Location header, the equivalent <meta 
http-equiv> tag, nor the link tags required for the url to be an openid.
