--- i'm not sure how it limits the usefulness, you can have a space
seperated list of URIs in the profile attribute
<html profile="
http://example.com/XFN/
http://example.com/OpenID/
http://example.com/GRDDL/
...
">

So you can have one URI for the basic OpenID values, then specialized
URIs for extentions, like OpenID-Attribute-Extentions,
OpenID-Trust-XYZ, OpenID-version-3, etc.
